KATHUA: Deputy Commissioner Kathua Rajesh Sharma today released the maiden edition of ‘Inspire’, the annual magazine of Government Auxiliary Nurse Midwifery Training (ANMT) School, here at a function held in the Auditorium Hall of Government Medical College (GMC).
ADC Basohli Pankaj Bhagotra, Chief Medical Officer, Dr Vijay Raina, Principal Government ANMT School Manisha Devi, District Immunisation Officer Dr. Vasan Sharma, Administrative Officer Pankaj Kumar, District Information Officer, Gurpreet Singh, faculty members, students and others attended the programme.
Addressing the gathering, the Deputy Commissioner congratulated the institution on bringing out its maiden magazine and appreciated the efforts of the faculty and students. Describing the paramedical profession as a noble service, he urged the students to perform their duties with compassion, dedication and professionalism. He also encouraged them to keep upgrading their practical knowledge and skills to deliver quality healthcare services.
Appreciating the students for their literary contributions, the Deputy Commissioner said such publications encourage creativity and confidence. He suggested adding a dedicated Alumni section in future editions to enable former students to share their experiences and inspire the trainees.
The magazine showcases the academic achievements, creative talents and accomplishments of the students and faculty. It features articles, poems, contemporary topics, verses from Holy Scriptures and other literary contributions, highlighting the institution's commitment to education and healthcare. Chief Medical Officer Kathua also congratulated the faculty and students on the successful publication and appreciated their collective efforts.
The programme was conducted by Rajeev Kumar, Community Health Officer and Editorial Head of the magazine. Faculty members and students acknowledged his dedicated efforts and coordination in making the publication and the event a success. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks.
