ANANTNAG: J&K Police in Anantnag, organised a Matyr Insp. Arshid Khan memorial Football tournament under the Civic Action Programme (CAP), for boys at Shaheed Humayun Muzammil Degree College, Khanabal, with the participation of 24 teams from across District Anantnag.
The tournament was inaugurated by SSP Anantnag Shri Amod Ashok Nagpure-IPS, who interacted with the participating players and encouraged them to pursue sports and make it an integral part of their lives.
The tournament aims to provide young footballers with a platform to showcase their talent while promoting discipline, teamwork, fitness and the spirit of healthy competition among the youth. The inaugural match was played between Bondialgam Football Club and Jiddah Football Club, marking the commencement of the tournament amid enthusiasm among the participating teams and sports enthusiasts.
Police remains committed to promoting sports and engaging youth in constructive activities under the Civic Action Programme, with the objective of fostering a healthy, disciplined and drug-free society.
