The coveted honour was bestowed upon Dr. Gupta for his outstanding research paper titled "Comparative Efficacy of Agnikarma (Therapeutic Heat Application) and Therapeutic Ultrasound in Chronic Lateral Epicondylitis: A Randomized Controlled Clinical Trial." The award-winning study drew widespread appreciation from an international panel of academicians, clinicians, researchers, and healthcare experts for scientifically validating one of Ayurveda's most trusted para-surgical procedures against a widely accepted modern therapeutic intervention.

The research demonstrated the remarkable clinical effectiveness of Agnikarma, an ancient Ayurvedic heat-based therapy, in managing Chronic Lateral Epicondylitis (Tennis Elbow), reinforcing Ayurveda's growing acceptance as a scientifically validated and evidence-driven healthcare system capable of complementing modern medicine.

The scientific paper was presented during multiple technical sessions held online from June 18 to 20, where it underwent rigorous scrutiny by an expert scientific committee. It emerged as one of the finest research presentations of the conference, earning accolades for its robust methodology, clinical relevance, innovation, and significant contribution to evidence-based Ayurvedic science.

Expressing his gratitude, Dr. Sudesh Gupta said the recognition is a reflection of the rapid transformation taking place in Ayurvedic research, where traditional wisdom is increasingly being supported by scientific evidence and accepted on national and international platforms.

"This honour belongs not only to me but to the institution and the entire Ayurveda fraternity. It motivates researchers to generate high-quality clinical evidence that strengthens the credibility of Ayurveda and promotes its integration into mainstream healthcare," he said.

With over 18 years of distinguished experience in academics, clinical practice, and research, Dr. Gupta has established himself as one of the leading academicians in the field of Shalya Tantra. Over the years, he has mentored numerous undergraduate and postgraduate scholars, many of whom are now serving as successful Ayurvedic surgeons and healthcare professionals across the country.
