BARAMULLA: Vice Chancellor, University of Kashmir, Prof. Neelofer Khan, today inaugurated a Management Development Programme (MDP) under the Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP) initiative at the University of Kashmir, North Campus, Delina, Baramulla.
The programme is one of the two MDPs launched in Baramulla under the RAMP initiative, with a total participation of 44 aspiring and existing entrepreneurs.
Addressing the inaugural session, Prof. Neelofer Khan appreciated the efforts of the Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI) in organizing such developmental programmes and emphasized that promoting entrepreneurship is the need of the hour. She said entrepreneurship not only provides financial independence to youth but also fosters innovation and encourages them to explore ventures aligned with emerging opportunities and market needs.
Director, North Campus, Prof. Sheikh Ghulam Mohammad, also addressed the participants and encouraged them to think innovatively, embrace entrepreneurship and create their own legacy through enterprise and self-reliance.
Assistant Professor and Programme Coordinator, Dr. Ulfat, also spoke during the inaugural session, highlighting the importance of entrepreneurial skill development and capacity building among aspiring entrepreneurs.
District Nodal Officer (DNO), Baramulla, Imtiyaz Ahad Malla, presented a detailed overview of the RAMP scheme and JKEDI's role in promoting entrepreneurship and strengthening the MSME ecosystem.
The inaugural session was followed by technical training sessions conducted by the designated resource persons. The initiative aims to equip aspiring and existing entrepreneurs with the knowledge, skills and managerial competencies required to establish and successfully manage sustainable business enterprises.
