• Sat Sharma chairs BJP’s review meeting

JAMMU: Our mission did not end with achieving complete integration of Jammu & Kashmir, it now begins with taking the spirit of nationalism to every home, the dream for which Dr. Shyama Prasad Mookherjee laid down his life and three generations of Jana Sangh and BJP workers struggled, stated BJP Jammu & Kashmir President and Rajya Sabha MP Sat Sharma.

Sat Sharma was chairing a review meeting on the recently concluded Dr. Shyama Prasad Mookherjee Pakhwara at the BJP headquarters, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu. BJP J&K Vice Presidents Rajiv Charak and Rashpal Verma, BJP J&K General Secretaries Sanjita Dogra, Baldev Singh Billawaria, and Gopal Mahajan, MLA Dr. Devinder Kumar Manyal, along with other senior leaders, participated in the meeting to review the programmes organized across Jammu & Kashmir.

Sat Sharma, while reviewing reports received from different districts, said the Pakhwara was not merely a fortnight of organizational activities but an ideological movement that rekindled the spirit of nationalism among party workers. Through exhibitions, seminars, public outreach programmes, tribute ceremonies, plantation drives, and booth-level campaigns, the life, struggle, and sacrifice of Dr. Shyama Prasad Mookherjee were brought alive before lakhs of activists. Every activist could connect with the purpose for which Dr. Mookherjee lived and sacrificed his life. The Pakhwara has given our organization an energy like never before and renewed the resolve of every activist to dedicate himself to the service of the nation and society, he said.

Sharma said the significance of the Pakhwara was evident from the fact that BJP National President Nitin Nabin travelled to Jammu to participate in its concluding programme on Dr. Mookherjee's birth anniversary. Such organizational programmes remain the BJP's greatest strength as they continuously renew ideological commitment, he said and added that it was a tribute to the great nationalist who sacrificed his life on the soil of Jammu & Kashmir for the complete integration of the region with the rest of India and for strengthening the idea of one nation.

Sharma said that the nation is witnessing the fulfilment of Dr. Mookherjee's vision under the Modi government, after decades of struggle and sacrifice by generations of nationalist workers. He said the responsibility now lies with the present generation to preserve that legacy by taking the party's ideology and commitment to nation-building to every corner of Jammu & Kashmir.

Presenting district-wise reports, the senior BJP leaders said the Pakhwara witnessed enthusiastic participation across all districts and significantly strengthened the party's grassroots organization. They said that such programmes deepen ideological commitment, energize workers, and further strengthen the bond between the party and the people.
