RAMBAN: In continued efforts to reach the unreached in the far-flung and unconnected areas of District Ramban, a mega health camp was organized today by the Block Medical Officer Banihal at Panchayat Ghar Upper Mahoo under the Aspirational Block Programme Khari. A dedicated team of doctors and paramedical staff examined and treated approximately 203 patients on the spot, distributing free medicines to all. Special focus was given to screening for Non-Communicable Diseases (NCD) and Tuberculosis among beneficiaries over 30 years old, with about 94 patients screened for diabetes and hypertension.
A special camp was also organized for left-out Golden Card beneficiaries, generating 23 golden cards on the spot by the VLE. The general public received awareness about the importance of 100 percent institutional deliveries and the registration of pregnant women in the first trimester. Meanwhile, a special AYUSH camp targeted elderly individuals and the general public, providing awareness about lifestyle modifications and immunity-boosting AYUSH medicines.
The residents of Panchayat Upper Mahoo expressed their gratitude to the Health Department Ramban and the District Administration for organizing this mega health camp in their remote area.
