ANANTNAG: In a concerted effort to enhance regulatory enforcement, the Drug Control Organization Anantnag today conducted inspections in peripheral areas of Kokernag, including Khalar, Nagam, Vailoo, Soyan, Devalgam, Mathadoo, and Matigavran.

During the operation, nearly 20 medical sale establishments were inspected and found to be compliant with the necessary regulations. However, the operations of two retail drug sale establishments, M/s Naikoo Medical Store Nagam and Mehboobul-Ul Alam Medical Store Nagam, were immediately disallowed for violating the conditions of their licenses.

Chemists in the area were strongly urged to adopt Good Pharmacy Practices, maintain Good Storage Conditions, and adhere strictly to the circulars and guidelines issued periodically by the Drug Control Organization and the District Administration.

They were also warned of stringent actions, including the permanent cancellation of their licenses, in case of violations under the Drugs and Cosmetics Act and the rules thereunder.
