JAMMU: An internship drive for third-semester students of the Masters in Rural Studies (MRS) program was organized by the Department of Lifelong Learning (DLL), University of Jammu, in collaboration with LJK Economic Growth and Development Dialogue (LEAD) today. The initiative aimed to provide students with firsthand exposure and practical work experience in a professional environment, enhancing their skills and employability.
Dr. Priyanka Sharma, Director, DLL, welcomed the guests and provided an overview of the MRS course structure. She emphasized the significance of fieldwork and internships in enriching students’ learning experiences and preparing them for future career opportunities. Representing LEAD, Mr. Tanul Dogra and Mr. Alankrit Mahajan introduced the organization’s objectives and highlighted its diverse initiatives. They also discussed potential avenues for engaging MRS students in impactful projects.
Prominent attendees included Prof. Kavita Suri, Dr. Vivek Sharma, and Dr. Pallavi Sachdeva. LEAD expressed its commitment to offering internship opportunities to students for the academic session 2024-25.
