- DC Kupwara congratulates health authorities, people of the district
KUPWARA: Two Sub Health Centers (SHCs) in frontier district Kupwara have bagged the prestigious National Quality Assurance Standards (NQAS) certificate from the centre for creating good health facilities for people living in the respective areas. SHC-AAM (Ayushman Arogya Mandir ) Putshai (Lolab) and SHCâAAM, Shaloora (Kupwara) became the first Sub Health Centers (SHCâs) in Kupwara district to achieve the NQAS certification.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Ayushi Sudan while congratulating the people of the district and Health authorities said that SHC-AAM, Putushai got the NQAS certificate for scoring 92.41 % in all 12 service packages followed by SHC-AAM Sholoora with overall score of 89.64 %. Pertinently these centers in the district had met rigorous criteria and demonstrated commitment to delivering high quality health care services to the community.
NQAS certification is given to SHCs and PHCs in recognition of their excellence in health care delivery, patient safety and continuous quality improvement. It signifies the commitment of the District Administration and health department in Kupwara district towards providing accessible, equitable and high quality healthcare services to the community.
The NQAS certification is achieved for adherence to quality assurance standards in health facilities, covering various aspects of healthcare delivery, infrastructure, hygiene and patient care. This certification not only enhances the credibility and reputation of these healthcare institutions, but also instills confidence among patients regarding the quality and reliability.
