BARAMULLA: For smooth and hassle free observation of upcoming religious occasion of Mehraj-un-Nabi (SAW), a meeting to review and finalize the arrangements was today held at Baramulla. During the meeting, the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Baramulla, Dr. Zahoor Ahmad Raina, who chaired the review emphasized the importance of coordinated efforts to ensure the smooth conduct of the event.
He directed the concerned departments to make adequate arrangements for sanitation, uninterrupted water and power supply, and proper traffic management, particularly around mosques and shrines where large gatherings are expected.
Dr. Raina stressed the need for foolproof security arrangements and instructed the officials to ensure that the devotees face no inconvenience during the auspicious occasion. The Health Department was directed to keep medical teams and ambulances on standby, while the Municipal Council was tasked with maintaining cleanliness and illumination at key locations.
The ADC also urged the departments to address public grievances promptly and ensure that all arrangements are completed well in advance of the event. The meeting was attended by Additional Superintendent of Police, Syed Yasir Qadri, Tehsildar Baramulla, officers from JSD, JKPDCL, Health, Municipal Council and other concerned officers.
