RAJOURI: Deputy Commissioner Om Prakash Bhagat, today inaugurated a basic computer course for 120 girls (including girls of Parisha) under the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) initiatives here at ITI Rajouri. The Computer course is being organized by the Social Welfare Department in collaboration with ITI Rajouri and the aim is to empower girls with digital literacy.
After inaugurating the course, the DC emphasized the importance of education and skill development for girls, stating, "Empowering girls with education and skills is crucial for their bright future and the overall development of society."
The DC also interacted with the trainees, motivating them to excel in the chosen field. He also encouraged the girls to take full benefit of this opportunity. He stressed the significance of digital literacy in today's world and encouraged the girls to become ambassadors of change in their communities.
The course will cover basic computer skills, equipping the girls with essential digital knowledge and the training will be provided by experienced instructors. The initiative will strengthen the objectives of the BBBP program, which includes promoting gender equality and creating an enabling environment for girls to pursue their goals.
