BANDIPORA: Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Bandipora, Shabir Ahmad Wani, who is also Electoral Registration Officer (ERO) Bandipora convened a meeting on Monday with representatives of various political parties to discuss various aspects regarding elections. The meeting held at mini secretariat Bandipora, threadbare discussed various measures and issues regarding elections including rationalization of polling stations, challenges faced by BLOs and polling station issues.
ERO Bandipora outlined the responsibilities of political parties and their candidates in maintaining the integrity of the electoral process. The discussion also addressed logistical arrangements, voter education, and strategies to enhance transparency while preventing electoral malpractice.
During the meeting, representatives of various political parties voiced their concerns and suggestions, which were thoroughly acknowledged and examined. During the meeting, Wani highlighted significant improvements in the system through the integration of technology. He also urged political party representatives to encourage voters to participate in awareness camps.
