DODA: As part of the ongoing World Population Day Campaign, and under the directions of Chief Medical Officer Doda, Dr. Om Kumar, and the guidance of Block Medical Officer Thathri, Dr. Shafqat Javeed Zargar, an IUCD Insertion Camp was conducted in various areas of Kahara Zone, including Bathri, Malanoo, Halaran, and Joura.
The camp was held under the World Population Fortnight campaign in Medical Block Thathri, District Doda, successfully inserted over 37 IUCDs, distributed contraceptives, and educated beneficiaries on adopting healthy lifestyles through various family planning methods.
During the campaign, the health staff of Block Thathri provided family planning counseling sessions, distributed contraceptives within the community, and pre-registered clients to ensure the campaign's success. Dr. Shafqat Javed Zargar, BMO Thathri, emphasized that the event aims to educate people about the benefits of adopting a small family norm. This initiative seeks to enable improved upbringing and quality education for children from smaller families, promoting the importance of responsible and sustainable population growth.
The camp was attended by Dr. Pratibha Dogra, Jonson Chandail (CHO/Divisional Training Coordinator Jammu Division), Barkat Ali (CHO/BAC), Pinku Sharma, Ranjna Kotwal, Kumari Kussam, Nazma Begum, and ASHAs from the concerned area in Zone Kahara Thathri.
