Addressing media representatives and party workers, Sharma expressed his deep concern over the marginalization of these languages, which he referred to as integral to the cultural and linguistic heritage of Jammu and Kashmir. He accused the Omar Abdullah government of showing a âstep-motherly treatmentâ to regional and classical languages in a recent advertisement of lectures and failing to prioritize their inclusion in the educational landscape.
Key Concerns Raised by Pawan Sharma:

Sharma highlighted that the advertised lecturer positions showed a disproportionate concentration on specific languages, while neglecting Hindi, Sanskrit, and Dogri, which represent the linguistic identity of Jammu and the wider region.
