JAMMU: In consonance with “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” drive, the NSS wing of Government Polytechnic for Women, Jammu in collaboration with Social Forestry Department of J&K UT carried out plantation drive. During the drive, around 50 saplings of Medieval plant viz Harad were planted in the campus by the faculty, staff and students.

Principal, Er. Suket Gupta, who was the chief guest on the occasion, impressed upon the need of plantation drives, particularly during this season and asked the students to carry out such plantations in their areas also. Dinesh Joshi Range Officer, Social Forestry Division Jammu alongwith his team, faculty and staff of the institution were present on the occasion.
