UDHAMPUR: Rural Development Department Udhampur, in collaboration with the Forest Department and Municipal Council Udhampur, organized a plantation drive for bio-fencing under MGNREGA in the Sui Sambal area during ongoing Swachhta Pakhwada campaign.
Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, Saloni Rai, graced the event with her active participation, planting saplings to contribute to the initiative. Speaking on the occasion, the DC emphasized the importance of environmental conservation and the critical role that such drives play in promoting sustainable development in the region.
The plantation drive aimed at creating bio-fencing to protect the green cover and enhance the ecological balance in the area. Among others, Assistant Commissioner Development, Dr Ranjit Singh Kotwal, CEO MC, Vishal Sadotra and other officers/Officials from the Forest Department and Municipal Council, who also contributed to the plantation activities.
