SAMBA: In order to review the arrangements and the facilities being made for the people during the holy month of Muharram-ul-Haram and ensure smooth and peaceful conduct of Muharram processions in the District, the Deputy Commissioner Samba, Abhishek Sharma held a consultative meeting with prominent Shia leaders here in his office Chamber.

On the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner said the purpose of holding interaction is to facilitate the mourners by making all other necessary arrangements, besides sought suggestions from the stakeholders for ensuring peaceful processions during the holy month.

While responding to the suggestions and issues put forth by the Shia leaders, the Deputy Commissioner assured them that all their genuine demands will be looked into on priority.

With regard to arrangements like electricity & water supplies, repairing of roads, providing of ration, sanitation, street lighting and medicare facilities, the DC said that necessary instructions has been given to all concerned Departments.
