KATHUA: District Level Aadhaar Monitoring Committee (DLAMC) today reviewed the progress of Aadhaar enrollment and mandatory Biometric updating here at a meeting chaired by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Mahima Madan.
PO ICDS, ADC Basholi, ADC Billawar, SDM Hiranagar, SDM Bani, Chief Planning Officer, Chief Education Officer, District Informatics Officer, Assistant Manager UIDAI and officers from other departments attended the meeting.
The meeting held threadbare deliberation on evolving an effective mechanism for Aadhaar saturation in all age groups and mandatory biometric update of children in the district.
The ADC directed concerned officers to clear the pendency with regard to the Aadhaar generations and to keep all the Aadhaar centers functional for the convenience of the general public. All the concerned officers were directed to strictly follow the guidelines in respect of Aadhaar enrolment and updation.
The meeting discussed the Action plan for early registration of births and deaths, deployment of CLEC operators at Anganwadi centres, organization of Aadhaar camps at schools etc.
The ADC asked the stakeholder departments/agencies to motivate the residents to enroll children below 5 years for Aadhaar and to get Mandatory Biometric updates (MBU) done on attaining the age of 5 years and 15 years.
