• DC instructs for timely approval of cases for sustainable economic opportunities creation

BUDGAM: The District Level Implementation Committee (DLIC), Budgam, under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Budgam, Athar Aamir Khan today approved 231 applications, verified by the Small Business Development Unit (SBDU) under the Mission YUVA (Yuva Udyamita Vikas Abhiyan) scheme.

The meeting reviewed the applications submitted by young aspiring entrepreneurs under the Mission YUVA initiative, which aims to facilitate youth entrepreneurship by providing financial assistance, institutional support and capacity-building opportunities for establishing and sustaining viable business ventures.

Speaking at the outset, the Deputy Commissioner said instructed on giving focus on employment generation and promote entrepreneurship among youth in the district. He said the  timely approval of cases shall help in creating sustainable livelihood opportunities for local youth and strengthening the entrepreneurial ecosystem in the district.

The meeting was attended by the Deputy Director Employment, Budgam; District Social Welfare Officer, Budgam; General Manager, DIC Budgam; District Nodal Officer, JKEDI; and Lead District Manager (LDM), among other concerned officials.
