DODA: District Programme Officer (DPO) Mission Poshan, Akhter Hussain Qazi today chaired a virtual introductory-cum-review meeting with Sector and Anganwadi Centre (AWC) Monitoring Officers and mentors associated with Assar and Marmat Poshan Projects.

The meeting was aimed at sensitizing key stakeholders to the guidelines of Mission Poshan 2.0 and reviewing the implementation of the schemes and services at adopted Anganwadi Centres across the two projects.

The virtual session was attended by Sub Divisional Magistrate Ashok Singh Kotwal; BDO Vrinder Kumar; Block Medical Officer Dr. Mohammad Ismail, Zonal Education Officer Idress Hashmi and CDPO Nissar Hussain, besides headmasters, masters and field functionaries.

During the meeting, the DPO reviewed the status reports of adopted AWCs located in Assar, Bhatta, Jathi, Baggar and adjoining areas. Detailed discussions were held on the functioning of the centres, nutritional support, health monitoring and effective delivery of services under Mission Poshan 2.0.

Emphasizing the importance of coordinated efforts for achieving the objectives of Mission Poshan 2.0, the DPO directed adopting officers and mentors to regularly visit and assess their assigned AWCs, provide necessary guidance and work closely with field functionaries to identify and resolve operational gaps.

The chair further stressed strict adherence to programme guidelines, effective inter-departmental coordination and transparent service delivery to ensure that the benefits of welfare schemes reach eligible beneficiaries in a timely and effective manner.
