ANANTNAG: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kashmir Zone Shri Sujit Kumar-IPS today visited District Anantnag and chaired a security and crime review meeting at District Police Office (DPO) Anantnag.

The meeting was attended by DIG South Kashmir Range Shri Javid Iqbal Matoo-IPS, SSP Anantnag Shri Amod Ashok Nagpure-IPS, and other senior officers of District Anantnag.

During the meeting, the IGP Kashmir reviewed the overall security situation and crime scenario in the district. He took a detailed assessment of security arrangements, crime prevention measures, investigation of cases and ongoing police operations.

The IGP emphasized strengthening the security grid, maintaining close coordination among field formations and ensuring timely and effective action against criminal and anti-social elements. He also stressed upon enhancing preventive measures and maintaining heightened vigilance to ensure peace and security in the district.

The senior officers briefed the IGP Kashmir about the prevailing security and crime situation and the measures being undertaken to further strengthen policing and public safety.
