JPDCL announces scheduled power shutdowns across Jammu: Multiple areas to face outages on January 16–17

JAMMU: Chief Engineer (Distribution) JPDCL Jammu has informed that the power supply to Channi, Marheen, Paharpur, Rajbagh, Chandwan, Hariachack, Nanan, Barnoti and its adjoining areas will remain affected on January 16 from 10 am to 4 pm.

Similarly, the power supply to Jagwan, Soha, Bhalwal, Battal and its adjoining areas will remain affected on January 16 from 9 am to 3 pm. Likewise, the power supply to Transport Nagar, Narwal, Railway Colony, Part of Channi Himmat, Malik Market, Upper Chowadi, Matto Colony, Bathindi, Sunjwan, Boria and its adjoining areas will remain affected on January 17 from 10 am to 2 pm.

His pioneering work in networked systems, AI, robotics and biomedical applications—especially computer-vision tools for early detection of cancer and heart disease—reflected his deep belief that advanced technology must serve humanity.

For more than 15 years at JK Monitor, he remained a loyal friend, mentor and collaborator, marked by rare humility, intellectual integrity and quiet generosity. His passing leaves a void that cannot be filled. Priya, you will be deeply missed. Your life continues to remind us that knowledge finds its highest purpose in the service of others.
