SRINAGAR: Police in Ganderbal have arrested 2 gamblers and seized stake money and vehicle from their possession. Acting on a specific information regarding gambling activities in the open fields at Check Rabitar, a police party headed by IC PP Shadipora under the supervision of DySP Hqrs Ganderbal raided the specific spot and apprehended 2 gamblers & recovered stake money of ₹19,500/-, playing cards and vehicle (Innova) bearing registration number JK01AU-0463 from their possession. They have been identified as Mohd Yousaf Tiplo son of Ab Salam Tiplo resident of Aanchar Soura & Bilal Ahmad Sofi son of Gh Mohd Sofi resident of Gundroshan Ganderbal. They have been shifted to police station where they remain in custody.

Accordingly, a case under relevant sections of law stands registered at Police Station Ganderbal and investigation has been initiated. Persons found indulging in criminal activities shall be dealt as per law. Community members are requested to share information regarding the crimes in their neighbourhood with the local police units.
