JAMMU: J&K BJP President and Rajya Sabha MP Sat Sharma, along with General Secretary Baldev Singh Billawaria, MLA Dr. Narinder Singh, MLA Ch. Vikram Randhawa, MLA Mohan Lal Bhagat, District Prabhari Parduman Singh, Secretary and District Seh-Prabhari Reema Padha, District President Naresh Singh Jasrotia, and other senior leaders, addressed a workshop on the ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ for District Jammu South at BJP headquarters, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu.
The workshop was organized to train and equip the party cadre for effective implementation of the campaign, with emphasis on public participation, social service, welfare outreach and ensuring tangible benefits reach people at the grassroots. The campaign, being organized to mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 25 years in public life, is envisioned as a sustained exercise to take the spirit and achievements of service-oriented governance directly to society.
Sat Sharma said that Seva Sankalp Abhiyan is not merely a programme calendar but an opportunity for BJP workers to turn the philosophy of ‘Seva’ into visible social action. He said every activity must have a clear objective, involve people meaningfully and create a positive impact on the ground.
Sharma said the 25-year journey of Narendra Modi in public life, from becoming Gujarat Chief Minister in 2001 to leading the country as Prime Minister, represents a remarkable chapter of dedication to nation-building. He called upon workers to commemorate this milestone not through symbolism alone, but by reaching the needy, facilitating access to welfare schemes, undertaking social-service initiatives and strengthening the BJP’s direct connect with every section of society. The campaign should carry the achievements of the Modi Government and its welfare-oriented governance to every household, he added.
Baldev Singh Billawaria stressed that the strength of Seva Sankalp Abhiyan will ultimately be judged by its grassroots impact. He called for coordinated efforts among district, mandal and booth-level teams, maximum public participation and continuous monitoring so that every assigned programme is implemented effectively and reaches its intended beneficiaries.
Mohan Lal Bhagat, the main speaker, elaborated on ‘Seva Jyoti Yatra’ and ‘Seva Mein Mera Yogdan’, highlighting the importance of collective participation in social service. Praduman Singh spoke on ‘Sapno Ka Bharat, Kahani Badlav Ki’, while Reema Padha addressed ‘Angan Utsav’, ‘Ashirwad Diya’ and ‘Rangoli Rashtriya’. Dr. Narinder Singh spoke on ‘Jan Sewak Mahakumbh—Panchayat Se Parliament’, and Ch. Vikram Randhawa elaborated on the ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra’.
District President Naresh Singh Jasrotia presented an overview of the workshop and preparations. The proceedings were conducted by Divya Jain, while Narinder Koki delivered the vote of thanks.
