JAMMU: Dr. Pardeep Mahotra, Media Incharge, J&K BJP, said that the last 12 years under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi have marked a transformational era for India’s farmers, with unprecedented focus on income security, transparency, welfare, and agricultural empowerment.
Modi Government firmly established that the prosperity of India is inseparable from the prosperity of its Annadata, ensuring that the nation’s Annadata receives both dignity and economic empowerment, said Dr. Pardeep.
Dr. Pardeep, while referring to the release of the 23rd instalment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN), said that more than 18,880 crore Rupees have been directly transferred to the bank accounts of over 9.44 crore farmer families, including 2.18 crore women farmers. He termed PM-KISAN one of the world’s largest Direct Benefit Transfer initiatives, through which more than 4.46 lakh crore rupees have reached farmers without middlemen or leakages since 2019.
Dr. Pardeep Mahotra said that PM-KISAN is part of a larger vision of farmer welfare pursued by the Modi Government. He highlighted that initiatives such as Soil Health Cards, Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana, Neem-Coated Urea, PM-KUSUM, enhanced MSP procurement, e-NAM, irrigation expansion through PM Krishi Sinchai Yojana, and record agricultural investments have been implemented on a mission mode to improve productivity, reduce risks, and increase farmers’ incomes.
Dr. Pardeep stressed that the DBT revolution has ensured that benefits reach intended beneficiaries directly and transparently, ending decades of inefficiency and corruption in welfare delivery. The growing participation of women farmers in government schemes, he added, reflects the inclusive character of Modi Government’s agricultural policies.
Dr. Pardeep said that the BJP remains fully committed to uplifting the socio-economic status of farmers and ensuring dignity, security, and prosperity for every farming family. He asserted that the consistent and result-oriented policies of the Modi Government have strengthened the confidence of farmers across the country and laid a strong foundation for a self-reliant and developed agricultural economy under the vision of Viksit Bharat.
