AWANTIPORA: Continuing its efforts against illegal mining and unauthorized extraction of minerals, Police in Awantipora carried out action at different locations and seized 04 tractors and 01 tipper involved in illegal mining activities.

During routine patrolling, a police party of Police Post Aripal detected illegal mining activities at Pastuna. Acting swiftly, police seized Three (03) tractors involved in the illegal extraction of minerals on the spot.

Similarly, Police Station Awantipora also conducted action against illegal mining and seized two vehicles 01 tractor and 01 Tipper involved in unauthorized extraction of minerals in the Awantipora area.

Police remain committed towards taking strict action against illegal mining activities and urge the general public to cooperate and report such unlawful activities to the nearest police establishment.
