BARAMULLA: Continuing its sustained crackdown on illegal mining activities, J&K Police seized a vehicle loaded with illegally extracted stones in Baramulla. Police Station Chandoosa seized one tipper bearing registration number JK05B-6816 loaded with illegally extracted stones. The vehicle was intercepted during routine checking and was found involved in unauthorized transportation of mineral material in violation of mining regulations.
Accordingly, action under the MMDR Act was initiated against the violator and the vehicle was seized on the spot. Police remains committed towards curbing illegal mining activities and appeals to the public to cooperate with law enforcement agencies by reporting such unlawful practices.
