JAMMU: The Sikh Community and Transporters have come forward and extended their unshaken support to the Apni Party’s Contesting Candidate for Jammu South, Pavneet Kour. Addressing a press conference here in Jammu, the prominent people, Sikh Community, and transporters gathered to extend their full support to Pavneet Kour.
“It was a long-standing demand of the community to field Sikh candidates in some of the constituencies. But other political parties in J&K ignored legitimate demands raised by the Sikh Community, and they did not field any Sikh candidate. However, the Apni Party’s President, Syed Mohammed Altaf Bukhari gave the Party mandate to a Sikh woman, Pavneet Kour, and fielded her from Jammu South acknowledging the demands of the community that is being widely appreciated across Jammu and Kashmir,” they said.
They said that it becomes the responsibility of women, and other members of the society to join hands, and support Pavneet Kour, who is approachable, and belongs to a humble background so that she gets elected as MLA from Jammu South.
“Pavneet Kour is the voice of the poor people, and we shall give her an opportunity by casting our votes in her favour. We had trusted other political parties and voted many politicians to the Legislative Assembly and Lok Sabha. However, they hardly return to these constituencies from where they got elected,” they added.
They further stated that the condition of roads and other infrastructure is miserable from Satwari Chowk, Miran Sahib, R.S. Pura, Gadi Garh, and other adjoining areas and no one takes care of the issues being confronted by the people.
While extending their support, they said that the people should vote and elect Pavneet Kour as an MLA from Jammu South, who can be approached any time, and should work for them. They said that the transporters, and Sikh community have come forward to support the candidature of Pavneet Kour. They appealed to the people from all the community to vote and support Pavneet Kour for Jammu South Constituency.
