SRINAGAR: Director General of Police, Jammu & Kashmir, Nalin Prabhat today released a comprehensive booklet titled “Dos and Don’ts in Terror Related Investigations”, compiled by the State Investigation Agency (SIA), aimed at strengthening the quality and effectiveness of terror-related investigations across the Union Territory.

Describing the booklet as a “remarkable weapon” and the “bedrock for successful investigation in terror cases,” the DGP emphasized the importance of professional, evidence-based, and legally sound investigative practices in dealing with terrorism-related offences.

He urged all officers and investigating personnel of J&K Police to make effective use of the booklet in their day-to-day investigative work, stating that the document would serve as an important guide in ensuring procedural accuracy, coordination, and successful prosecution in terror cases.

The booklet has been prepared by the State Investigation Agency with the objective of providing practical guidance, standard procedures, and critical investigative insights for officers handling sensitive and complex terror-related matters.

Senior police officers and officials of the SIA were present on the occasion. The initiative is expected to further enhance the investigative capabilities of J&K Police and strengthen the fight against terrorism through professional and efficient policing.
