BUDGAM: Under the ongoing Nasha Mukt J&K Abhiyaan, J&K Police organized Youth Counselling Sessions and Medical Awareness Camps at Police Station Chadoora and Boys Higher Secondary School (BHSS) Beerwah as part of its sustained efforts to combat substance abuse.
The programmes witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, teachers, local youth, and respected members of the community. Participants were sensitized about the harmful effects of drug addiction, early warning signs, and the importance of adopting a healthy and disciplined lifestyle. Emphasis was also laid on preventive awareness and constructive engagement of youth.
Police officers, along with medical professionals, provided valuable guidance on mental health, de-addiction, and overall well-being. Basic health check-ups were also conducted during the camps to promote community health awareness. Budgam Police reiterated its zero-tolerance policy against drug abuse and urged the community, particularly the youth, to actively support the collective fight against narcotics. The initiative was widely appreciated by participants, who commended the efforts of Budgam Police in promoting awareness and strengthening community well-being.
