UDHAMPUR: Khadi Village Industries Board (KVIB) today organized a one-day district-level awareness programme here at Upper Omara. The programme aimed to inform and sensitize unemployed youth about the self-employment schemes being implemented by the KVIB, including the PMEGP and JKREGP. These schemes offer financial assistance to aspiring entrepreneurs and local artisans for establishing their own income-generating units.

The programme witnessed the participation of a large number of unemployed youth along with Director RSETI, Lead District Manager SBI, Branch Manager J&K Bank Shakti Nagar, Ex-Sarpanchs/Panches and other dignitaries from the area.

District Officer KVIB, Yogesh Joshi extended a warm welcome to all participants and gave a detailed presentation on the schemes. He explained the procedure to apply for financial support under PMEGP and JKREGP, motivating aspiring youth to take advantage of the opportunities provided by the government to promote entrepreneurship and sustainable livelihood.
