In loving memory of Dr. Priya Ranjan: A mentor who treated me like family
  • Offer Chocolates, flowers for obeying traffic rules

KISHTWAR: The Motor vehicle Department, Traffic Police and GREF today pasted road safety awareness stickers on dozens of vehicles and distributed more than 200 pamphlets on the Kishtwar–Paddar road to promote Road Safety. The initiative, led by ARTO, Tasleem Wani formed the part of National Road Safety Month 2026 campaign.

The stickers and pamphlets carry simple yet powerful messages to remind drivers and commuters of the importance of following traffic rules. As a gesture of appreciation, chocolates and flowers were presented to those found obeying traffic rules. Awareness regarding Good Samaritan / Rah-Veer was also raised among commuters.

“The initiative aims to encourage safe driving practices, safety of pedestrians and adherence to traffic regulations. By displaying these messages on vehicles, the campaign seeks to reach a wide audience and create constant awareness on roads,” the ARTO stated.
