PULWAMA: Drug Control Department Pulwama intensified market inspections across the district as part of the ongoing 100-day campaign under the Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyan, aimed at curbing the misuse of drugs and ensuring strict compliance with drug regulations.

During the inspections carried out since March 2026, a total of seven licenses have been suspended, and one unlicensed shop has been sealed as part of enforcement measures.  The department stated that such inspections shall continue with strict enforcement in the coming days to uphold drug safety norms, promote responsible dispensing practices, and effectively combat drug abuse in the district.

Meanwhile, all chemists and druggists operating in Pulwama and adjoining areas have been urged to maintain accountability and strictly adhere to the provisions related regulations.
