SHOPIAN: Continuing its sustained efforts to combat drug abuse and promote awareness among youth and the wider community, Police in Shopian have organized awareness programmes under the Nasha Mukt Jammu and Kashmir Abhiyaan at Middle School Heerpora, Rainbow International School Shopian and in Zainapora.
These programmes witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, teaching staff, officials from the police and civil administration as well as members of the Chemist Distributors Association. The initiative aimed to educate young minds about the harmful effects of drug abuse and encourage the adoption of a healthy, drug-free lifestyle. During these sessions, speakers highlighted the growing menace of substance abuse and its far-reaching impact on individuals, families and society.
Participants were also sensitized about the legal consequences of involvement in drug-related activities and were encouraged to act as ambassadors of change by spreading awareness within their communities.
J&K Police reiterated its commitment to continue such awareness drives as part of the ongoing 100 Days Nasha Mukt J&K Abhiyaan, with the objective of building a safer and healthier society.
