In loving memory of Dr. Priya Ranjan: A mentor who treated me like family

KATRA: NSS SMVDU Katra volunteers organized wall painting and cleanliness drive at children's park in Basohli during the seven days special camp.  The volunteers actively participated in the drive at the Vishwasthali Children’s Park. The volunteers painted colourful cartoons and aquatic animals on the walls of the park to make it more attractive and enjoyable for children. A Rangoli was also created near the main entrance of the park to spread awareness about wildlife conservation.

The park was named “Vishwastali Children’s Park”, giving it a distinct identity. In addition, educational elements such as alphabets and numbers were painted to help young children learn in a playful and engaging manner. Several awareness slogans like “Save Forest, Save World”  and  "love  tree love life "were also added to convey important messages related to environmental protection.

These paintings not only beautified the park but also grabbed the attention of the local community and encouraged them to think about cleanliness, conservation, and education.Along with painting, the volunteers thoroughly cleaned the park area, showing their sense of responsibility and dedication towards community service. The activity reflected the sincere efforts and social responsibility of the NSS volunteers, truly representing the NSS motto “Not Me, But You.”
