RAMBAN: Amid elaborate arrangements made by the district administration under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner Ramban Mohammad Alyas Khan, a batch of 21 Hajj pilgrims, including 8 female pilgrims was flagged off today from Ramban district to Srinagar for their onward journey to the Holy pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia.

At Banihal, the SDM Mohammad Naseeb Bajran flagged off the pilgrims and congratulated them on the opportunity to embark on this sacred journey. He extended best wishes for a safe and secure pilgrimage and appealed to them to pray for peace and prosperity in the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir and the country.

While interacting with the pilgrims and giving them a warm send-off, the SDM expressed hope for their comfortable journey. He also wished them good health, well-being and a smooth and successful conduct of the Hajj pilgrimage.

Meanwhile, a special prayer congregation was held, attended by a large number of people who prayed for the successful completion of the Holy Hajj by the pilgrims. Senior officers, religious leaders, prominent citizens and relatives of the pilgrims were also present on the occasion.
