• Activity Public Hr. Sec. School celebrates academic excellence with grand felicitation ceremony

JAMMU: Activity Public Hr. Sec. School celebrated the remarkable academic success of its students today during a grand Felicitation Ceremony held within the school premises. The event, dedicated to the Class 10th and 12th high achievers of the 2025–2026 session, brought together educators, parents, and distinguished guests to applaud those who secured marks above 89%.

The ceremony was graced by Sh. Sham Lal Sharma Ji, Hon’ble MLA, Jammu North, as the Chief Guest, and Smt. Sunita Gupta, Ex-Corporator of Ward Number 37, as the Guest of Honor. The proceedings opened with a soulful welcome by the school’s Managing Director, Mr. Manohar Gupta, who highlighted the inspiring life journey of the Chief Guest, followed by a festive series of cultural performances including traditional Dogri, Punjabi, and Rajasthani dances.

Adding a touch of emotion to the occasion, students performed a heart-touching song as a special tribute to their mothers in honor of Mother’s Day. Addressing the gathering with a powerful and motivating speech, Sh. Sham Lal Sharma Ji emphasized the vital role of the youth in shaping the future of the nation.

He spoke extensively on the economic landscape of the region, identifying the Chenab River as a cornerstone of Jammu’s prosperity and a critical resource for sustainable wealth and energy generation. Sh. Sharma urged the students to look beyond academic success and recognize their responsibility as the torchbearers of regional progress, encouraging them to harness local resources and innovation to drive the community forward.

Continuing his address, the Hon’ble MLA issued a stern and heartfelt call to the student community to remain vigilant against social evils, particularly the menace of "Nasha" (drug abuse). He stressed that a healthy and disciplined lifestyle is the foundation of any significant achievement and urged the youth to stay focused on their personal and professional goals to build a resilient society.

Furthermore, he highlighted the government's commitment to social welfare by educating the audience on the Vatsalya Scheme. He explained that this initiative, which provides ₹4,000 per month to orphaned children for their education, is a testament to the compassionate governance of the Hon’ble Prime Minister, whom he thanked for such transformative policies.

In addition to student honors, the school took the opportunity to felicitate its dedicated faculty, recognizing the teachers for their tireless efforts and invaluable contributions toward student excellence. As a mark of respect, MD Mr. Manohar Gupta and Principal Mr. Rishi Gupta presented mementos to the distinguished guests, thanking them for their continued support of the community. The ceremony concluded with a formal Vote of Thanks delivered by Principal Mr. Rishi Gupta, in the presence of School Administrator Mr. Arjun Mahajan, Vice Principal Mr. Sanjay Koul, the entire school staff, and a large gathering of proud parents and students.
