JAMMU: The state of the art campus of the Indian Institute of Management Jammu welcomed 55 students from Classes VII to X of Springdales School, Rajouri Lines, Jammu for an engaging academic exposure and campus visit on 8th Sept 2026, providing the young learners with an opportunity to experience the vibrant academic ecosystem and understand the journey of one of Indiaâs premier management institutions.
Accompanied by Ms. Shivani Kotwal, Ms. Surekha Sharma, Ms. Meenakshi Soni, and Ms. Deepanti Sharma, the students explored key facilities across the IIM Jammu campus, including the Clock Tower, Main Reception Area, Mandapam Auditorium, Vedanta MDP Block, Smart Classrooms, Nalanda Library, Rangmanch Amphitheatre, and Jalpan Kendra.They also viewed the detailed campus-scale model showcasing IIM Jammuâs infrastructure and future expansion plans.
At the Main Reception Area, the students were introduced to the picture-wise journey of IIM Jammu, offering them a visual glimpse into how the institute has evolved and shaped its institutional journey since its inception. An audio-visual presentation on IIM Jammu was also showcased, giving the students an engaging overview of the institute's growth, academic excellence, achievements, campus ecosystem, and its contribution towards nation-building.
At the Vedanta MDP Centre, the students were briefed about the Executive Education & Consultancy Division and its various training and development initiatives. The academic interaction further introduced students to IIM Jammuâs diverse academic programmes, Centres of Excellence, innovation and research initiatives, and the opportunities available across management education. At the IIM Jammu Nalanda Library, students explored its digital resources, advanced reading spaces, and Bloomberg Terminals, gaining an insight into the technology-enabled learning environment at IIM Jammu.
A key highlight of the visit was the interaction with Ms. Anvita Gottumukkal, Third-Year IPM Student, IIM Jammu, who shared insights into student life, academic experiences, clubs and committees, case-based learning, and the opportunities available on campus. The interaction with IIM Jammu officials also covered pathways to the IIMs through CAT and JIPMAT, preparation strategies, career planning, entrepreneurship, finance, analytics, and leadership. This was followed by an engaging Q&A session, during which the aspiring students actively participated and interacted with the officials, seeking insights and guidance on their academic and career aspirations.
The students were also introduced to IIM Jammuâs BGA Institutional Accreditation and EFMD Programme Accreditation for the MBA, along with the Instituteâs ongoing journey towards AACSB Accreditation.
The visit concluded with an engaging interaction that encouraged the students to explore management education, develop curiosity, think beyond conventional boundaries, and aspire towards future academic and professional opportunities.The entire visit and academic-counselling interaction were coordinated by the Media and Publication Advisory Committee, IIM Jammu.
