JAMMU: Directorate of Hindi, University of Jammu, under its mandate to improve Hindi speaking and writing skills among school students, organised an interactive session at Government High School, Dilli Road, Channi Himaat, Jammu on Tuesday. The session was inaugurated by the Principal of the school, Vijay Gupta. Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Anju Sharma, Director, Directorate of Hindi, University of Jammu, highlighted the objectives and activities of the Directorate and encouraged students to actively participate in learning Hindi language and acquaint themselves with Hindi literature.
Dr. Koshika Sharma from the Directorate of Hindi, University of Jammu, delivered an interactive lecture on āStandardization and Pronunciation of Hindi.ā She elaborated on the importance of maintaining uniformity in Hindi vocabulary, grammar and spelling, and also discussed common spelling and pronunciation errors frequently observed among students.
The session witnessed active participation from students, who interacted enthusiastically and raised queries regarding various aspects of Hindi language usage. Dr. Koshika Sharma responded to the queries in a detailed and satisfactory manner. Around 60 students of Classes IX and X, along with ten teachers, attended the interactive session.
