JAMMU: The Department of Marketing and Supply Chain Management, Central University of Jammu hosted its much-anticipated Alumni Meet 2024. The event was organised under the mentorship of Prof. Sanjeev Jain, Hon'ble Vice Chancellor, Central University of Jammu and guidance of the Dean Students Welfare Dr. Ritu Bakshi. The Alumni Meet 2024 brought together students of the Department to engage with the Alma Matter.
The auspicious event started with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony symbolizing knowledge and wisdom, followed by a heartfelt welcome address by Dr.Neelika Arora. She expressed her gratitude towards the alumni for their continued support and involvement, acknowledging their significant contributions in shaping the reputation of the Department.
Prof. Jaya Bhasin, Dean, School of Business Studies, addressed the gathering, extending her best wishes to the alumni and the department. She emphasized the importance of continued collaboration between alumni and the institution in ensuring its sustained success and evolution. Prof. Ajai Pal Sharma, Head of the Department conveyed his best wishes to the students and motivated them for collaborations with the Department.
Dr. Naresh Kumar, highlighted the achievements of the department since its inception. He emphasized significant role of alumni in fostering a strong connection with their alma mater, which not only helps in strengthening the legacy but also contributes to the growth and development of future students. After the heartwaring performances and delightful program, Dr.Shahid Mushtaq, congratulated the students for putting up a lively show and proposed a formal vote of Thanks.
The Alumni Meet provided a platform for former students to share their experiences, reconnect with old friends, and discuss future opportunities for collaboration and mentorship with the current students. The gathering was a memorable occasion that underscored the enduring bond between the college and its alumni, highlighting the importance of community and the shared journey of academic and professional growth. The programme was coordinated by Dr. Anju Thappa and Dr. Arun Yadav. Ms. Mitali Slathia and Ms. Kashish Bakshi from MBA (MM) 1st Semester conducted the proceedings of the Programme.
