UDHAMPUR: Municipal Council Udhampur on Thursday organized a series of Nukkad Natak presentations in different parts of the town to promote Swachhta Abhiyan. The drive was conducted under the directions of Deputy Commissioner Saloni Rai and supervised by CEO Rajinder Digra.
Interacting with the residents, the CEO Municipality sought their cooperation in making the campaign a success. “It is the duty of every citizen to keep his surroundings neat and clean,” he said and appealed civil society members to cooperate with the administration in making the district clean and polythene free. He emphasized the role of community involvement in achieving sustainable cleanliness goals and encouraged citizens to adopt proper waste segregation practices, avoid littering and contribute to keeping the town clean and green.
