DODA: A review meeting to assess the progress of the District Capex Budget 2024-25 was today chaired by the Deputy Commissioner Harvinder Singh, here in the mini Meeting Hall of the DC Office. The meeting focused on evaluating sector-wise and JE-wise progress under the District Capex and addressing implementation challenges across various departments.
Key attendees included ADDC Pran Singh, CPO Manesh Kumar Manhas, ACD Manoj Kumar, ACP Musharraf Haf, Superintending Engineers of PWD (R&B), JPDCL, and Hydraulic Divisions along with their respective XENs, Assistant Commissioners of Development and Panchayats, Chief Education Officer, Chief Agriculture Officer, Chief Medical Officer, District AYUSH Officer (ISM), Executive Engineers from REW and Ground Water Division (via virtual mode), Divisional Forest Officer Bhaderwah, District Youth Services and Sports Officer, Executive Officers of Doda/Bhaderwah/Thathri, and representatives from JAKEDA and NRLM.
The DDC members and BDOs attended the meeting through Video Conferencing. At the outset, Chief Planning Officer Manesh Kumar Manhas presented a detailed overview of the financial progress under the District Capex Budget 2024-25 till October 2024.
The Deputy Commissioner directed officers to expedite ongoing projects, ensure timely fund utilization, and maintain strict adherence to quality standards in infrastructure development. He emphasized resolving bottlenecks in project execution, especially in critical sectors such as health, education, rural development, and public works.
The DC reviewed the progress of work on roads, buildings, and other projects and urged the concerned officers to accelerate pending works, streamline the tendering process, and prioritize high-impact projects. The review included health, agriculture, education, youth services and sports, urban development, minor irrigation, DDC and BDC grants, PRIs grants, PHE, PWD, non-functional buildings, ABDP, APDP, and others.
The status of newly tendered works and their execution under the District Capex Budget 2024-25 was also discussed in detail. The meeting concluded with a commitment from all stakeholders to achieve the targets effectively and improve the overall development scenario in the district.
