JAMMU: In a first-of-its-kind outreach programme, BJP Minority Morcha, led by its J&K president Ranjodh Singh Nalwa, would reach the needy & underprivileged Muslims across the UT on the eve of forthcoming Eid, with helping kits prepared & named as ‘Saugaat-e-Modi’. Elaborating on the purpose of distributing ‘Saugaat-e-Modi’ kits, Nalwa told a press conference here that prime minister Narendra Modi’s vision to bring smiles on the faces of underprivileged Muslims who could not afford to buy gifts on Eid.
“Saugaat-e-Modi’ kits would surely bring smiles on their faces, he said. Nalwa said he along with other Morcha leaders would be visiting the Muslim Bastis for two days from tomorrow. In these bastis, the needy would be identified and ‘Saugaat-e-Modi’ kits would be handed over to them, he added.
“BJP is all set to launch this programme in other parts of the country also through its Minority Morcha,” he said and quoted Minority Morcha’s national president Jamal Siddiqui have said that the morcha was all set to carry Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 'saughat' (gift) to 32 lakh needy Muslim families on the occasion of Eid.
Nalwa said the Minority Morcha was distributing help-kits throughout the country during Eid with a message of brotherhood and PM Modi’s mantra of ‘Saab ka sath, Saab ka vikas’ through ‘Saab ke prayas’. He said approximately 400-500 needy families would be given the help-kits.
“All the things, which are required for Eid celebrations and Iftars, have been made available in the Saughat-e-Modi kits,” he said. Prominent among those present on the occasion included Jasmeet Kour Panday, Gurdeep Singh, Surjit Singh, Mubasir Azad, Kamalpreet Singh, Surjit Singh, Pannu Singh, Rocky, Sartaj and Harmeet.
