JAMMU: As part of the ongoing Civic Action Programme (CAP), the District Police Jammu hosted the final match of Tug of War (Girls) competition here in the Government Girls Higher Secondary School Bishnah. The competition was held between Staff/Students of Government Girls Higher Secondary School Bishnah and a team of District Police Jammu here in the premises of the host School.
After tough competition, the Women's team of District Police Jammu won the match by defeating the team of GHSS Bishnah. The occasion was graced with the presence of the school Principal Anju Gupta as the Chief Guest. The match was witnessed by SP Headquarters Jammu Irshad Hussain Rather and SHO Bishnah Inspector Sushil Choudhary besides locals of the area and members of the media fraternity. The winning team was awarded a cash prize and trophy.
Speaking on the occasion SP Headquarters Jammu emphasized that J&K Police is committed to engage with youth through sports activities as a constructive initiative to steer them away from drug abuse & other social evils. The event received great appreciation from the local community, particularly the youth, who hailed the efforts of the police in promoting positive and healthy engagements in Bishnah and adjacent areas.
