KISHTWAR: Deputy Commissioner Rajesh Kumar Shavan today reviewed the arrangements for the Cultural Festival being held on June 22, 2025 at Devigol Boujwah, here at a meeting. The Deputy Commissioner said that the Devigol has been selected as the venue in view of its Tourist Potential and on the demand of the public.
The District Social Welfare Officer (DSWO) shared detailed insights on the proposed activities, He said the festival will feature fun sports like Tug of War, Dangal, Horse Riding, besides Volleyball and Trekking Competition. He said the final list of events will be revealed in due course.
Awareness regarding the Central and UT Government sponsored schemes including Mission YUVA, Tejasvini Scheme, Mumkin Scheme, and others will be disseminated through informative stalls to be set up by the stakeholder departments.
The DC further reviewed arrangements related to essential services for the celebrations, including water, electricity, transport, sanitation, medical facilities, and food stalls, and issued necessary directions to the concerned officers. The Cultural Fest will also feature performances by local singers from Boujwah and other parts of Chenab Valley and Jammu and Kashmir.
A number of committees have been constituted for making foolproof arrangements for the mega fest. The meeting was attended by PO ICDS Rishi Kumar Sharma, CEO KDA Kaiser Bhawani, ACR Idrees Lone, DSWO Zubair Ahmed, AD FCS&CA Shafqat Ali Keen, DIO Dr. Kuldeep Kumar, Tehsildar Bunjwah Tejinder Sharma, besides other senior officers and concerned staff.
