RAMBAN: The District Treasury Office Ramban, under the directions of the Finance Department J&K and the guidance of Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Alyas Khan, convened the first phase of the Orientation Programme on the Single Nodal Account – Samyochit Pronali Aakakrit Shigr Hastantaran (SNA-SPARSH) model for efficient management of funds under Centrally Sponsored Schemes (CSS).

The programme, attended by Drawing and Disbursing Officers (DDOs) associated with the District Treasury, aimed at familiarizing the participating officers with the SNA-SPARSH system for seamless financial operations. The session began with a comprehensive introduction to the model by Additional Treasury Officer Lokesh Shan, who highlighted the role of SNA-SPARSH in strengthening financial governance at the grassroots level.

The SNA-SPARSH model integrates critical financial platforms, including JKBEAMS, PFMS and e-Kuber of RBI, facilitating real-time fund transfers directly from the Central and State Consolidated Funds to the implementing agencies. This reform is part of a broader financial transformation under the Finance Department, complementing systems like BEAMS, JKPaySys and TreasuryNet, which aim to ensure timely, transparent and efficient release of funds to beneficiaries.

The Additional Treasury Officer emphasized the significance of adopting the SNA-SPARSH system to improve financial discipline, accountability and effective utilization of public funds. He reiterated that the system would minimize procedural delays and ensure faster delivery of funds to the intended beneficiaries. NIC Support Person Parkash Singh provided crucial technical assistance for successful conduct of the programme.
