BANDIPORA: In a significant step towards strengthening rural infrastructure, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Manzoor Ahmad Qadri, alongwith DDC Member for Arin, Ghulam Mohiddin Rather, on Thursday inaugurated the newly completed Dardpora-Rangdaji-Shamthan-Zulbal road, bringing a long-awaited boost to road connectivity in the area.
The 3.5-kilometre stretch has been macadamized under NABARDâs RIDF-29 scheme at an estimated cost of Rs.4.30 crore. The road will directly benefit the residents of Rangdaji, Shamthan, Zulbal, and inner links of Dardpora, improving access to education, healthcare, and markets, while significantly reducing travel time for daily commuters.
Speaking on the occasion, DC termed the project a vital development milestone for the area and appreciated the efforts of the executing agencies for ensuring quality work. He emphasized that rural road connectivity plays a pivotal role in uplifting economic conditions in remote areas and reiterated the district administrationâs commitment to infrastructure-driven inclusive growth.
On the occasion, locals expressed their gratitude to the administration for fulfilling a long-pending demand and thanked the DC for his hands-on approach and continued monitoring of developmental projects across the district. DC was accompanied by ExEn R&B Bandipora, AEE, JE, locals and other senior officials of the district administration.
