AWANTIPORA: The Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST) entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Fatima Foundation to provide financial support and educational assistance to students from underprivileged sections of society.
The MoU was formally signed by the representative of the Fatima Foundation and Prof. A. H. Moon, Dean Academic Affairs in a brief ceremony held at the university campus that was attended by key university officials, including Abdul Wahid Makdoomi, Registrar IUST, Mr. Sameer Wazir Finance Officer, Dean of Students, Dean School of Sciences, and Dean Outreach.
Speaking on the occasion, Vice Chancellor IUST, Prof. Shakil A. Romshoo, expressed gratitude to the Fatima Foundation for partnering with IUST in its efforts to promote inclusive education. He emphasized the importance of philanthropic organizations playing an active role in supporting students from marginalized backgrounds, enabling them to pursue higher education without financial constraints. âIUST has in place a robust and transparent mechanism for identifying and supporting deserving students. Collaborations such as this strengthen our commitment to social equity and educational empowerment,â Prof. Romshoo added.
