- Senior BJP leadership pays obeisance at Baba Chamlyal Shrine, reaffirm commitment to Border region development
RAMGARH, SAMBA: Sat Sharma, President, J&K BJP accompanied by General Secretary & MLA Dr. Devinder Kumar Manyal, DDC Chairperson Keshav Dutt, MLAs Chander Prakash Ganga, Prof Gharu Ram Bhagat, Adv. Vijay Sharma, Dr. Rajeev Bhagat, & Dr. Bharat Bhushan, and other senior party functionaries visited the revered shrine of Baba Chamlyal at the International Border in Ramgarh sector and paid obeisance to the saint, seeking peace, prosperity, and security for the region.
DDC & BJP Kissan Morcha President Sarbjit Singh Johal, DDC Vice-Chairperson Raghunandan Singh Bablu, DDCs Dharminder Kumar & Anita, District President Updesh Andotra, Gopal Mahajan, Prem Pal, Choudhary Parkash, Billu Choudhary, Nancy Choudhary, Narinder Jamwal, Radhey Sham, as well as civil and administrative officers including the BDO, Tehsildar, BMO and others were also present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Sat Sharma said, “The shrine of Baba Chamlyal is a symbol of deep-rooted faith and communal harmony in the border belt. It attracts devotees not just from Jammu and Kashmir but from across the country and beyond. Our government and the BJP are committed to ensuring the development of border areas and providing all possible infrastructure and security support to the local population.” He stressed that the visit underlines the BJP’s dedication to preserving cultural heritage and ensuring holistic development of border districts.
Dr. Devinder Kumar Manyal emphasized the importance of strengthening border infrastructure and welfare schemes for border residents. “The people living in these sensitive regions are the real sentinels of the nation. We are working continuously to provide better healthcare, education, road connectivity, and employment avenues for them,” he stated.
The leaders also interacted with the locals and took stock of the arrangements made for the annual Baba Chamlyal Mela. They appreciated the efforts of local administration and security forces in maintaining order and facilitating smooth conduct of the religious gathering.
