DODA: District Magistrate Doda, in exercise of powers conferred under Section 163 BNSS, has imposed a complete ban on swimming, bathing, fishing and roaming near river Chenab and other Nallahs/ streams, within the jurisdiction of the District, with immediate effect.
Additionally, no activities of school and college picnics and recreation in vicinity of above-mentioned water bodies shall be carried out without proper permission of District Administration as per the guidelines issued from time to time in this regard.
The order has been issued in the interest of public safety and protection of human life and any person found violating this order shall be liable for strict legal action under the relevant provisions of law.
The Senior Superintendent of Police Doda and concerned Sub- Divisional Magistrates, Tehsildars, Naib Tehsildars, SHOs and I/C Police Posts shall ensure strict implementation of the order in their respective jurisdictions.
